Michaelmas Cay, on the Great Barrier Reef off Cairns, is 10 kilometres long reef with a sand cay. Explore the bommies, walls, swim-throughs, gullies, small caves and overhangs. Michaelmas Cay is rich with a myriad of sea life including green turtles, blue-spotted Rays molluscs and hundreds of species of tropical reef fish including Humphead Maori Wrasse. The reef surrounding the cay is renowned for an abundance of giant clams.
