Divers will see turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays, pelagic fish and occasional manta rays cruising the walls which encircle Southern Small Detached Reef, located off Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef. These walls, which drop to beyond 100m, are festooned with a spectacular array of corals, large gorgonians, long sea whips, spike soft coral trees and sponges, which provide shelter for hosts of multicoloured reef fish.
